Ballast Point Park continues to be my go to location for sunrises. This is because you get a good sunrise view over the water and also it’s about 5 minutes from my house so I can wake up shortly before sunrise and still get there in time. Downtown Tampa is a ways away from this location but I frequently use the telephoto lens to capture a skyline shot. I also tend to use the telephoto lens a lot for the sunrise as it makes the sun’s ball look bigger in the photo as it rises over the pier.
