As I have had a little extra time recently I have been exploring a few areas close to home that are new to me. A couple of days ago I visited Wat Mongkolrata Temple in Palm River, a suburb of Tampa. This is a Buddhist temple. I have heard good things about the authentic and cheap Thai food that they serve on Sundays and definitely plan to make a return visit to try it out. I did not go in the temple as I arrived in shorts and you are not allowed in with shorts, but I did walk around the outside and the grounds. The temple itself is very pretty and I like the dragons outside “guarding” the entrance.
