Backyard Wildlife

It’s amazing that you can find some backyard wildlife even in the middle of the very developed area of South Tampa. This afternoon along the fence in my backyard I spotted these pair of mating moths. After looking them up I found out that they are Pink-striped Oakworm Moths (Anisota virginiensis). The female is the larger of the two. This was in addition to this nice snake skin that one of my girls found the other day. I like how the whole skin is in one piece and you can even see the eyes. We do have a black racer that I have seen in the yard on occasion.
