2015 was my first birthday trip and the start of a new tradition. We decided on Las Vegas this year and it was my first trip there. My wife and I stayed in the Bellagio Hotel. The lobby and the conservatory were beautiful. The conservatory was decorated in a Chinese garden theme.  We had a room with a nice view of the fountains and got to watch the fountain show several times. This room also had a nice view of the strip, especially the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel. We saw 4 total shows. We saw Absinthe, a variety/circus type show outside of Caesar’s Palace. There were several amazing acts, the most memorable being a couple on skates in a ring maybe 10 feet across at most. We saw the Cirque Du Soleil show O in the Bellagio which involves water and has a lot of diving. The whole stage changes back and forth from wet to dry which is pretty amazing in itself. We also saw a hypnotist show, Anthony Cools, at the Paris hotel and one of us, may have gone on stage… We also managed to squeeze in Jeff Dunham at Planet Hollywood which we had not planned beforehand, but is one of my favorite entertainers and I was glad we got the chance to see him.  In terms of meals, we did the Bellagio buffet which was good but not out of this world. We had a nice dinner at the Eiffel Tower with some great views of the Stirp and the Bellagio fountains. The standout meal was definitely the Sterling Brunch at Bally’s. All you can eat lobster and all you can drink champagne. They also had all the favorites like eggs benedict, banana bread pudding french toast, etc. One of the most memorable meals I’ve had anywhere. It was a pretty great start for my new tradition of annual birthday trips. Can’t wait to decide on where to go next year.
