Tampa from Skypoint

This weekend I was able to make a return to the top of the Skypoint Condo in downtown Tampa to do some photography. I especially picked Saturday because there was an event called Chill Lounge Night going on over at Curtis Hixon Park. I really love getting different perspectives and there aren’t many better ways in my opinion than getting up high. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate as well this time as it did last time. There was too much haze to get very much color in the sky. I’m not going to complain too much though. The first shot is a straight on view of the skyline from my vantage point on Skypoint. You can see Kiley Gardens, the Tampa Riverwalk and the skyline with the view continuing out to Harbour Island and Davis Island. The second shot is one of my favorites so far from this shoot. I love that you can see the Rivergate Tower (Beer can building) on both sides of the frame due to the reflection in Skypoint itself. This was taken a little alter than the previous shot so you can see the light trails from the cars. The other thing that I like about this shot is how much is encompassed in it. You can see all the way from the Rivergate Tower all teh way back to Bayshore on the left and then back to the Straz Center for the Performing Arts to 275.
