Great Smoky Mountaints National Park – Spruce Flat Falls and Fall Trees

One of my favorite waterfalls in Great Smoky Mountains National Park is Spruce Flat Falls. It is not one of the really popular ones so there are usually not too many people around. This waterfall is found in the Treemont area. It can be seen on the opposite side of the river but accessing it is not as easy as you would think. It took awhile to find a safe spot to cross the stream. There is also a hiking path that leads to it, but it is much longer. It is a beautiful waterfall with multiple levels. Be careful when climbing around as some of the rocks are very slippery. The other shot tonight is a spot of fall color. I liked this one because of the vertical lines of the tree trunks and the different colors.
