It’s sad to hear of all of the damage being done by the fires out in California. Some of the places that we traveled on our trip last year have definitely been affected. On our trip we tried to cover a lot of Southern California from San Diego up to San Francisco and over to Yosemite and back down to San Diego again. The Big Sur area was definitely my favorite part for scenery. Driving along the coast with beautiful cliffs, bridges and beaches is hard to beat from a scenery standpoint. The Bixby Bridge is one of the iconic sites of the drive and we stopped a few times to take it in. Garrapata State Park had a lot of flowers and small plants blooming while we were there which provided so nice colors leading out to the beach.
