Supermoon over Tampa

Tonight’s full moon is supposed to be the closest to earth and therefore the biggest moon in the past 70 years. So of course I had to go try to take some pictures of it. The hard part was trying to find a subject to include in addition to the moon and then to line it up correctly. I decided to try to capture it with the Tampa skyline which is not as easy as you would think. You have to be lined up correctly so that the moonrise is not hidden by the buildings but is close enough to include in the picture. Then you need to be a distance away because you want to photograph it with a telephoto lens so it appears even larged. I finally settled on a parking garage a ways from downtown. It lined up correctly and I am pretty happy with the shots, but may try again tomorrow.
