Ballast Point Park is one of my most frequent photography subjects. There are two main reasons for this. First, it is very close to my house. Second, it’s a beautiful park right on the water with a nice pier and great views of the Tampa skyline. Morning is my favorite time to photograph there as you can capture the sunset over the water and there are generally less people. I recently made a trip down to the park and tried to see how many different compositions I could make involving the park and the Tampa skyline. The first shot is a very wide angle shot which was taken from the long pier. The skyline is pretty small in this shot because of the wide angle lens used. The second shot shows off the skyline a little better with a Brown Pelican drying itself on the rocks in the foreground.
