Gators at Myakka River State Park

Myakka River State Park is definitely one of the best places in Florida to see alligators. If you spend a full day there you are likely to lose count of the number that you see. We saw all sizes from juvenile gators all the way up to a few big boys. The one with the camouflage was a juvenile one with just the head popping through the duckweed. The big gator here was up on the bank surrounded by about 40 or so Black Vultures. Not quite sure why. Even a gator this size took off for the water when he saw us coming down the trail.
