I normally do not go back and re-edit my old photos. However, I do feel that I have learned a lot in terms of post-processing techniques. When looking at this old edit of this photo of a beautiful sunset from Pier 60 there were several things I did not like. Number one was the halo or lighter area around the pier itself and the dark areas of sky in the two top corners. This is very unnatural. The second change I made was a little more of a personal preference. The first time through the sunlight coming under the pier was a little too yellowish for me. I like the more orange rendition of the newer version better. Sometimes just a few changes can make a big difference. I do wish there had been a few clouds so there was something of interest in the sky, but you can’t get everything.
