Platt Street Bridge and Riverwalk Bokeh

Two new photos tonight that are quite a bit different. The first shot is completely different from my normal style, but I though came out really cool. While out photographing the Tampa Riverwalk I tried to focus and shoot really quick before people walked into the frame. What happened is I actually ended up taking the picture with everything out of focus. You can still tell what it is if you know the scene as the lights still show up really cool. In photography, bokeh (Originally BOH-kay — also sometimes pronounced as BOH-kə) is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as “the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light” (Wikipedia). The second shot is the traditional Platt Street Bridge View of downtown Tampa. I am experimenting with a few new processing techniques and used a new one on this image. I’m pretty happy with the results so far.
