Today Tampa is opening the newest section of the Tampa Riverwalk, which passes under the Kennedy Avenue bridge. This will make it possible to walk along the river from Curtis Hixon Park all the way down to the Tampa History Museum and Amalie Arena. Th final stretch is also in the works which will extend the Riverwalk to the Straz Center and finally to Waterworks Park and Ulele. This project has been a long time in the works and I am glad to see it finally nearing completion. It is nice to be able to walk between these areas without having to deal with the traffic. As a photographer it gives me some new angles and lets me get closer to the Hillsborough River.
