Tampa Sunrise versus Sunset

Sunrise and sunset are the two premier photography times of the day for the type of photography I like to do. There are a few differences between the two. I am generally out at sunrise because that way I can get out and do some photography and be home not long after my family wakes up. If I go for a sunset I either have to have my family with me and doing this kind of photography with three young girls is not easy or I have to miss out on time with them. The other advantage for sunrise to me is that there are not many people out and about. I generally prefer most of my photos without people in them. During sunset you can capture a little more of the city life as more people are out and about. The other difference of course is the direction of the light. Somethings that are lit up well at sunrise are probably not going to get the same quality of light during sunset. The first shot tonight is the Tampa Postcard Mural by Carl Cowden III. This mural was repainted a couple of years ago. This shot was take around sunset and you can see the shadows stretching across the scene from the left side. The second shot is Sacred Heart Church Cross Sunrise. This was taken from plant park and is a combination of zooming and cropping for the part of the scene I wanted to focus on. This one is a little more over the top in terms of the editing than my normal style.
