Finally back to St Petersburg

It’s been awhile, but I finally made it back over to downtown St Petersburg to do a little photography. I have been really focused on Tampa for the last couple of months and was needing a little variety. I arrived before sunrise and parked at Albert Whitted Park. I began with the skyline along the water sand worked my way up the waterfront. I shot the Salvador Dali Museum, Duke Energy Center for the Arts (Mahaffey Theater), Demens Landing Park, and the St Petersburg Pier. The first shot today is one of the first photos I took. I saw the crescent moon hanging over the control tower and switched to my telephoto lens to “compress” them closer together. After that I took a few shots of the Dali Museum and fountain while waiting for sunrise. My favorite sunrise subject in St Petersburg is the sailboats in the harbor.
