Vertical Photos of Tampa

While working on gathering my photos for my upcoming show I have definitely noticed that I shoot a lot more horizontal shots than vertical shots. This is definitely something I need to work on. Last night I went out to take some photos of downtown Tampa and I made an effort to keep the camera vertical almost the whole night. I did a pretty good circuit of downtown from the end of Bayshore Boulevard and the Platt Street Bridge to the Tampa Bay Times Forum, the Straz Center for the Performing arts, Curtis Hixon Park and the Cass Street Rail Bridge. I fount that I definitely found a few unique compositions which I have not noticed in the past due to my tendency to keep the camera horizontal. The first shot tonight is of the new statue of Dave Andreychuk holding the Stanley Cup over his head with the lightning bolts in the background. This was recently installed at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The second shot is of Bayshore Boulevard leading the way to downtown Tampa.
