Great Smoky Mountain National park Wildlife

A few oldies, but goodies tonight. These two were both captured in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Elk was captured in the Cataloochee area which is a bit of a sidetrip from the main area, but definitely worth it if you have time. I had a great morning there with some nice fog and the elk were very cooperative. The second shot is a Black-bellied Salamander (Desmognathus quadramaculatis) which was captured at Grotto Falls off of the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. I believe it is about a 3 mile hike to get to the falls but it is not too steep and again definitely worth it.
