The last Tampa photo I posted used a special effect called selective color. Tonight’s first shot, University of Tampa and Beyond Tilt Shift, uses a different effect called a tilt shift effect. This is another sunset photo of the University of Tampa and since I had several I wanted to try something different. The tilt shift effect basically makes one narrow strip of the photo in focus, and the rest pretty blurry. It also often makes whatever is in focus look like a miniature. This is normally caused by the use of a specific type of lens, however I created this effect in Photoshop. The second shot is Under the Dome at HB Plant Museum. This is the former dining room for the old hotel. As you can see it has a nicely decorated dome. It was difficult to capture. I need to go back now that I have a fisheye lens.
