All right St Petersburg residents. So you rejected the Lens idea to replace the old inverted pyramid of the current pier. So what now? Now you are left with a closed pier and no plans to replace it. You are going to have to spend a lot more money to demolish the current pier and I am pretty sure whatever the final cost of the next project is will be well above the $50 million that was going to be spent on the Lens. Good Luck St Petersburg! Personally I am going to be making a lot fewer trips to downtown St Petersburg in the near future until some replacement is decided on.
