It had been a while since I had been out shooting so I made a point to take time to do some photography this weekend. I decided on sunrise on Sunday. Using the program Photographer’s Ephemeris I scouted around to see what the angle and time of sunrise was going to be and finally decided on St Petersburg. Today I decided to focus on the waterfront since that is what downtown St Petersburg is all about. I arrived about 30-40 minutes before sunrise and walked the waterfront a little looking for my angle. The first shot tonight is one I took while scouting for my location. I love the stillness of the water and the picture perfect reflection. The crescent moon is pretty cool too. The second shot was taken shortly before sunrise. I noticed this cool cloud formation and was able to capture the full reflection also.
