Well, the cute baby elephant at Lowry Park zoo finally got named. It was named Mpumi, pronounced “Em-pumi,” meaning success or achievement in Swati. Swati is a Bantu language spoken in Swaziland and South Africa (thanks Wikipedia). The morning we were there this little one had a lot of eneregy and ran around a little and then kept trying to pick up things with its trunk.
