It was time for a break from all the Disney photos so back to last fall and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Two of the most iconic places on the parkway are the Lynn Cove Viaduct in North Carolina and Mabry Mill in Virginia. These are big favorites for photographers and obviously for good reason. If you are a photographer you definitely owe it to yourself to make the effort to get out for a sunrise at the Lynn Cove Viaduct. We were staying just outside of Boone, NC which was about a 45 minute drive. The farthest north we made it was just past the Mabry Mill. This site can be crowded, but if you wait you can get shots without the crowds.
