Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

One of my favorite places in Florida which I spent a few hours at last week is Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary near Naples. Now as I stated yesterday the wildlife overall was pretty uncooperative, but at least here there were a few good things to shoot. I timed my drive to arrive for Corkscrew opening so that I could get out in time to catch the sunrise and to have the place to myself for a little while. The sunrise was pretty nice and there were a few good clouds. On my second lap I walked within about 10 feet of this hawk before I saw him. I watched him fly down into the water and I assume bathe a little before flying up onto the railing and then to a nearby tree. He was definitely my most cooperative subject of the day.
