The view of Pittsburgh from West End Overlook has to be one of the best viewpoints of any city a in the United States. I arrived a little bit before sunset and scouted the different angles and tried using different lenses to see which would work best. There were several ferries and barges cruising the rivers and I waited for one of the ferries to be in the right spot just surrounded by the trees for the first shot. As sunset was coming on I took a couple shots of the few clouds over the skyline but was not real excited by it. However, back in the other direction there was some great clouds and nice sunset color. It was hard to get much of an angle in that direction and I only got off a few shots before the light faded.
