What is your favorite time of day to shoot? For me it has always been around sunrise. I like the quiet and calmness of being one of the very few people out and awake at this time. I enjoy being able to take photos without having to wait for people to move out of my shot. When your subject will have the best light on it depends on your what your subject is and it’s relationship to the sun. For cityscapes the “blue hour” just before sunrise or after sunset are often great times to shoot. Early morning light or just before sunset can often cast a soft warm light which works well with most subjects.
